I hope you’re well and as always I know it’s been awhile, I just had a look at my blog (especially this category) and I saw that it’s been forever since I’ve posted here. I might shoot a lot of looks but they don’t necessarily make it to this platform, which I think is really crappy so I took some specific pictures on my recent road trip and saved it especially for this post.
Sometimes it’s hard to pack when you’re traveling and especially if you’re not really sure what to expect where you’re going. I found myself with a bunch of clothing but they were not necessarily appropriate for the situation. As usual I rather over pack than under pack and I was lucky enough to be able to do that on this trip.
I got most of the items for these looks from Zando, they have some really cool things and they recently launched their new season. Right now I’m a little obsessed with houndstooth and white shoes/boots/sneakers. While on the road I tried to keep my looks as comfortable as possible, as you can see above, a light patterned dress with a high-neck top basic top underneath as it was a little chilly on the road. I paired it with some sneakers and a belt to give the dress some shape.
I dressed for many different occasions, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and outdoor activities. I’m more comfortable when I’m confident in what I’m wearing so even though it’s standard to dress comfortable on a road trip, I was more concerned that I felt comfortable in my outfits. I therefore had about four pairs of heels with me, two pairs of sneakers, a pair of sandals and a pair of boots. I know, not typical road trip attire but then again I’m not a typical dresser.
Most of the items I wore can be found on Zando under their new season range, I’m loving the colours, patterns and textures that they’re bringing through for Autumn. These pieces can be easily transitioned from summer to autumn looks which worked perfectly for this trip because we never knew what to expect when it came to the weather, as with Cape Town, sometimes we had more than one season in a day.
I hope you guys liked these looks and decide to be a little more daring on your next road trip. There will be more posts to come about the actual road trip. Details on what we did, where we stayed and what we ate, we ate a lot!
