In photography, the golden hour is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky. This is the opposite of magic hour in cinematography, which is the period just before sunrise or just after sunset when light is diffuse and even. I’m more a fan of magic hour than the golden hour but I thought the name was fitting for this blog post.
The sky is always that warm golden colour at this time and it’s what you’d imagine your insides would look like when you’re super happy. It also represents the end of a day and the beginning of the start of a new day. I’m at that point in my life right now, the end of one thing and the start of something new.
Change is always good and I’ve always embraced it, I’m excited for the future but grateful for the past. I’m not sure whether I’m ready to completely open up about everything that’s been going on (let’s not jinx it).
So, I guess I’m leaving this post undone; maybe I’ll fill you in on the next one. The point here is to be happy, do what makes you happy, follow your heart and take risks. Always try and live in the golden hour.
